Problem adding a workorder

hey,
a got a problem adding a workorder.
iventory is working so far and now a need to “manufacture” some assemblies.
I created a BOM for the assembly and all items on it are purchased and shipped to the right location.

now when I try to create the workorder there is no assemblie to choose.
“no match found”

can anybody help?

I forgot…

when try to open the workorder list a blank window appears…

Is this correct:
You go to Manufacturing -> Work Orders, the page is blank
You go to Manufacturing -> (Side-menu) -> New Work Order, fill out
required fields, add line, No match found

Did you set up Manufacturing under Admin -> Manufacturing -> Site
Configuration?
Do you have “Use workflow” turned off?

Items that you plan to assemble must be assemblies, and not pseudo.

Yes that’s my situation.

Use “workflow” is turned off and “pseudo” is unchecked.
In the list of BOM I can see the BOM. There’s only the one.
If I type this number in “add line” -> "no match found"
And if I search by description or something else, it appears always the same “no match found”.
My account is in the Manufacturing group.

Use “workflow” is turned off and “pseudo” is unchecked…
And if I search by description or something else, it appears always
the same
"no match found".

Can you try:
Inventory -> Stock
Turn on the ‘Type’ column, set it to ‘assembly’, set all other filters
to all.
Does your item show in that list?
Does it show if you enter the number or description in the search?

and by every other combination i tried…

Very strange. The two get their data from the same place, so
something is going wrong.

Do you have Firebug for Firefox installed, or are you willing to get it?
It will let you spy on the search parameters as they are sent from the

okay now its getting terrible…

i create a new item (assembly) in the category xy
in inventory->stocklist: stockid 25-5. okay so far so good

now i take a look in my sql database for the same item:
-> perp_stock -> stock_category: 38-5

category xy is defined in “egw_categories” as 38.

how could it be?

Add a line to your new work order. See the bug in the bottom right
corner of the popup? Click it, change to Console (you may have to
enable firebug for the site).

Enter your part number into the box, you should see a POST line appear
in the Console tab. Drop that line down, I need the entire contents
of the Post tab.

Stock IDs are an integer, don’t confuse them with stock number / codes

Hey thanks for Nathan…
…
answer:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?><!

[CDATA[remove_ajax_results(‘exec[stock_id]
[results]’)]]><!
[CDATA[add_ajax_result(‘exec[stock_id][results]’, ‘’, ‘’, ‘No matches
found’);]]>remove_ajax_results(‘exec[stock_id]
[results]’)add_ajax_result(‘exec[stock_id
][results]’, ‘’, ‘’, ‘No matches found’);

The only difference I can see is the stuff after shouldn’t be
there. That’s not causing the problem though.

All I can suggest is to poke around in perp_inventory/inc/class.
{s,b}o_perp_stock.inc.php, get_stock_list().
_debug_array($query); _debug_array($where);
in various places will be informative. It should be the nearly the
same from the stock list with type = assembly, or from a work order.
In particular, I’m interested in differences in $where between the
stock list and from the work order popup.

Nothing jumped out at you as being different between the searches?

You should be able to re-download the package and replace.

If that doesn’t work, you can try getting them from SVN trunk, but I
think that could be worse:
svn co https://perp.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/perp/trunk/perp_manufacturing
./perp_manufacturing
svn co https://perp.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/perp/trunk/perp_inventory

Okay,
i compared the “add BOM-Formular” with the “add work_order” via thunderbug. Both should search for the same in the db, right? Devinitively (Thunderbug: console -> post) posts are different.

“add BOM”:
xajax doXMLHTTP

I have to say that i’m just a user and no developer so these lines tells me absolutly nothing g.
I don’t know how to change or fix it.

any ideas… and perhaps a stepbystep howto to fix?
sorry for wasting your time with a perhaps simple problem.

thanks and bye alan

Okay, …

You missed a bit.
In perp_inventory/inc/class.so_perp_stock.inc.php, line 189 (should be
blank), add this:

_debug_array($query); _debug_array($where);

Then check this (it’ll be much different, and won’t work):

“add work_order”:
xajax doXMLHTTP
xajaxargs[]
perp_manufacturing.ajax_select_widget.ajax_search.etemplate
xajaxargs[] exec[stock_id][search]
xajaxargs[] Air
xajaxargs[] exec[stock_id][results]

Against the new stuff that shows up when you go to Inventory -> Stock
List
Turn on the ‘Type’ column, set it to ‘assembly’, set all other filters
to all, and search for Air.

Please copy + paste both (just the new stuff that shows up).

I have to say that i’m just a user and no developer
