I am writing as I am having some issues importing into the Egroupware 1.6 Addressbook. I have an Excel spreadsheet with the relevant headings. I then save it as a CSV file and import it. All of my field names however appear together in one row with a comma seperating them in the Addressbook Fieldname. Am I missing something or is there some problem?
I believe that EGW is looking for a semicolon, “;” , as a default field
separator. In the CSV import dialog there is an option to change the
field separator. You could try changing that to a comma, but i know
others have not had much success with the comma. I used the spreadsheet
in Open Office which allows you to select the field separator when
saving to CSV. I just chose semicolon and EGW ate it right up!
Good luck!
Hi there,
I hope that everyone is well?

I had an issue importing into the addressbook in 1.8.
I had all the settings correct in the csv, but it happened that I had to log-out then login again to see all the new entries. Then I had to clean out all the duplicates from the extra attempts.
