Dear EGroupware user,
thanks for reporting feature requests to egroupware.org.
With the new release of EGroupware 1.8.001 we implemented many new features. So we kindly ask you to recheck your feature request against the new version. If it is still valid, please reopen it with the current version 1.8.001.
If you do not respond within the next 14 days, we assume the request is no longer necessary and it will be closed automatically.
Thanks for your understanding

I know Webapplications which do an Ajax-Request every ~60Seconds, in which the Form-Content is transfered to the server and saved as a ‘draft’. When e.g. the Webbrowser crashes or the Browser-Windows is accidently closed and the user want to login again, the application asks if he want to proceed with the last edit.
There are also easier soultions which does only work when the session expires: horde/imp doesn’t throw the Form-Content away, when a expired Browse-Session sends an eMail - it stores it temporary, show another login-window and show the content again if the user-Authentication is correct.

Actually some webmailers do some auto-refresh (e.g. auto-reload a dummy page in an iframe or with some JavaScript) as long as the browser window stays open. Some even only poll for the session status without refreshing it and a popup opens, asking the user to refresh the session 5 minutes before the session is actually timed out. This might even become a general feature to the whole eGroupware.
I wonder how the notifications act related to this. If they are configured to show a popup, this polls for new notification messages. Does this auto-refresh the session?

Yes, as expected, after all, eGroupware IS an WebApplication.
If the session is dead, and you already posted the Form, than this is it.
If you know of any webmailer that is able to cope with that, and you know howm, you are very welcome to suggest a solution.
