Custom status on Tracker

First, sorry for my poor english.
I´m pretty new with eGroupware. Actually, I´m using eGroupware 1.6 and i´m testing the 1.8 version.

I´m trying to create some new custom status for the Tracker, similar to ‘own-not-closed’ or ‘without-reply-not-closed’. As i´ve seen, these status are defined at …/tracker/inc/class.tracker_bo.inc.php (lines 308-314) and at …/tracker/inc/class.tracker_so.inc.php (48-54 and 357-436).

I suppose that i can edit and add my custom status here, but i consider this non upgrade safe.

Is there any upgrade safe way to create Tracker´s custom status?

Good Morning,
I’m running v1.4.00, and below are the steps I’ve used to create a new status.

  1. Log into EGW with system administrator rights.
  2. Select the ‘Tracking System’ icon from the top menu bar.
  3. On the left side, select ‘Site Configuration’ under the Admin heading.
  4. Select the ‘Categories’ tab.
  5. In the ‘Status’ section, you should have a field labeled “–>enter new name”.
  6. Click on that field, enter the name of your status, select ‘Apply’ then ‘Save’ at the bottom, and that should do it for you.
