Summary: #2053 - in edit categories, egw shows the KB menu in english rather than the locale
in edit categories, egw shows the knowledge base menu in english, rather than the selected language (in this case german)
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=preferences.uicategories.index&cats_app=phpbrain&cats_level=True&global_cats=True
meanwhile, the text elsewhere is in german
interestingly, the knowledge base menu is shown in german for any and all of the other links in the knowledge base:
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=phpbrain.uikb.index
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=phpbrain.uikb.edit_article
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=phpbrain.uikb.add_question
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=phpbrain.uikb.maintain_articles
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=phpbrain.uikb.maintain_questions
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=preferences.uisettings.index&appname=phpbrain
so the translation exists

This bug is fixed in our subversion repository now.
You can update via subversion with the following commands:
cd /path/to/egroupware
svn update * # mind the */asterisk
To check if you have svn installed try running svn version. To install the svn command under Linux install the package “subversion”. For Windows you can use eg. TortoiseSVN (http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org).

appears to still be the case
using egroupware from the opensuse build system, .deb
currently at 1.8.001.20101201
on
/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=preferences.uicategories.index&cats_app=phpbrain&cats_level=True&global_cats=True#
shows the translations for some of the menu do not exist (indicated by the *)

updated version to 1.8.001 since 1.6 is listed as unsupported and the effect shows in 1.8 as well
