Summary: #2129 - LDAP Addressbook DESTROYS USER ACCOUNTS and other minor issues
I am trying to migrate from a totally SQL based eGroupware to an LDAP based egroupware, for the accounts and the addressbook.

The account management seems to work correctly but as soon as I activate the Addressbook LDAP support problems begin.

Some of them are minor, for example: if you have a contact that doesn’t have a surname it won’t be saved correctly. If you have an LDAP only addressbook configuration you will be warned but if you have a SQL->LDAP configuration the contact will be saved into SQL only an no warning will appear. During the migration from SQL to totally LDAP addressbook this kind of contacts will be totally lost.

But the worst of all comes with addressbook interefering into the accounts. If you have your user accounts in LDAP and also the addressbook, if you edit one user accounts data and save it the LDAP entry for the account will be overwritten with the new data. This implies that their userPassword is lost and the user account is lost. Am I doing something wrong or is this a BIG BIG BIGBUG ?
